Return to the hills

It was time to venture back into the hills and for the first trip I chose High Cup Nick, only 45 minutes’ drive away.  I was not disappointed.  The joy of being back in the hills, the rain, the wind, the grass beneath my feet, the wide open skies and the feeling of being alive again.  This is how it feels to be let out of prison, to be free again.  I ran the High Cup Nick fell race route, taking it slowly with frequent stops to look at the view and the flowers.  In true British tradition I was caught in two heavy hail storms, nothing beats UK weather in June!
